SynapMesh is a tailor-made communication protocol for operating IoT wireless networks in the sub-GHz narrowband spectrum.  It is designed with the specific goal to connect the modem in a very short time, making roll-outs fast and cost-effective. Also, in case a meter loses connection, the flexibility and mesh capability of the network ensures fast and reliable reconnection.

The only thing the installation personnel needs to do is to snap the modem into the meter, power it and wait for an LED to indicate that the node is functional. The connection to the network will take place automatically, and the device is ready to deliver meter data.

SynapCloud provides centralised network provisioning and simplifies the operation and maintenance workflow. Artificial network intelligence keeps all our wireless devices, the modem and gateway, configuration free. All network management is done centrally in the SynapCloud network provisioning application. An API makes the retrieval of meter data simple for the use in Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS) and other external systems in the utility’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
